DAZN hosted a highly anticipated boxing event featuring MMA star Nate Diaz making his boxing debut against social media sensation Jake Paul at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX. With a capacity of over 18,000, the venue was filled with fans, celebrities, and combat sports enthusiasts. To enhance the viewing experience, DAZN partnered with Xtadium, the VR app by YBVR, to stream the fight live in VR inside the DAZN room.

This collaboration aimed to elevate the boxing fan experience by offering viewers the ability to switch between multiple camera angles, providing a ringside-like experience from the comfort of their homes. Additionally, viewers could create watch parties to enjoy the fight with friends across the country.

Jared Kass, VP of North America at DAZN, expressed excitement about this development, stating that DAZN was always seeking cutting-edge technology to bring fans closer to the action. This event marked the first time such a boxing fight was streamed in fully immersive VR with 360° and 180° views. The fight was available on XTADIUM, a free VR app developed by YBVR, accessible on all Meta Quest headsets, and available in the US only.

Sebastian Amengual, CTO and Co-Founder of YBVR, highlighted the partnership's goal to provide fans with next-generation immersive content through a virtual ticket, allowing them to experience the fight as if they were sitting ringside. Fans were able to purchase the PPV, get their code, download Xtadium, and enjoy the action from the most anticipated fight of the year.
