NYX Professional Makeup aimed for the filter to capture the essence of their brand by enabling users to virtually try on their Halloween makeup collection, boosting sales during one of the company's most profitable seasons.
The experience they designed begins with red curtains parting to reveal six characters. By tapping on these characters, users can engage with virtual makeup try-on filters, adopting one of six unique looks: salty siren, slithering enchantress, angel face, firecracker, dragon baddie, and pretty pony. Each look is complemented by a matching background theme and animations, such as floating bubbles or flapping angel wings.
This experience launched on Instagram and Snapchat.
